ATVing in Kauai

 At the suggestion of the fantastic Hawaii Adventure Center, we not-so-fresh girls booked an ATV tour in Kauai with Kipu Ranch Adventures.  Let me say that again: an ATV tour. I’ve never been on an ATV. Ever. I’m not one of these country girls who grew up on ATV’s. The whole idea of an ATV scares me. I’m a girly girl. I don’t generally like thrills or bouncing up and down over steep hills. I like spa pedicures and chocolate. I’m here to tell you, IT WAS AWESOME. So freaking awesome. Skid in the mud and slam a beer into your head awesome. I have been converted. A bit about Kipu Ranch: Located in Lihue, Kipu Ranch is a huge plot of lush land that has rivers, waterfalls, tropical jungles, farmland and a ridiculous number of scenic outlooks. The Ranch is a 3,000 acre property that extends from the Huleia River to the top of Mt. Haupu. Kipu Ranch is a private ranch and not accessible to the general public which was perfect. New Hotel, Old Denver

Denver, Colorado is upping its game. I don’t know if you’ve heard the rumors, but Denver is the not just the new L.A. It’s the new New York. College graduates are picking Denver over both those cities to flock to post graduation. Though skeptics may suggest that is it the legalization of marijuana that is drawing young people, they would be wrong. Not that I would know anything about that. I'm old ya'll. It’s actually so much more than that. It's the lively downtown. It’s the craft beers. It’s the lights of Larimer Square and the shows at Buell. It’s the fresh new Thai eateries mixed in amongst the stone buildings of Downtown Denver. Take Union Station – what was once an outdated hub where Denverites couldn’t imagine spending a Saturday night in is now the must hang-out spot in Lodo (Lower Downtown).
